A cold dictation start is slower
On Mac, Yaprflow starts preparing the recognizer in the background at launch. Recording before that finishes—or after the speech recognizer is released following five idle minutes or memory pressure—can take longer while the local runtimes initialize it again.
The Mac shortcut does not work
Another app may already use Command-T. Open Yaprflow Settings and record a different keyboard shortcut, then try again.
The transcript uses the wrong language
Open Yaprflow Settings and choose the language you plan to speak. English (United States) is the default. Automatic can detect among the 32 supported locales, but selecting one language usually prevents short or noisy speech from drifting into another language.
Apple Intelligence is unavailable
AI Summary requires macOS 26 or later, an eligible Mac, and Apple Intelligence enabled in System Settings. Core dictation still works without it.
Find a recent transcript
On Mac, open History from the menu-bar app and use Folder to reveal local Markdown files. On iPhone or iPad, tap the clock to see up to three recent transcripts.

Yaprflow for Mac is a US $29 one-time purchase, with Apple providing comparable local prices in other regions. The App Store handles purchases and updates with your Apple Account; Yaprflow does not require a separate account or subscription.
Compatibility
- Yaprflow for Mac requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
- Yaprflow for iPhone and iPad requires iOS 17 or later.
- Apple Intelligence features require macOS 26 or later on a supported Mac.
